You already know the reasons to stop smoking. The question is how to make stopping feel easier than continuing.

Perhaps you’re concerned about your health. Maybe you’re tired of feeling controlled by cravings, spending money on cigarettes or vapes, worrying about the long-term effects or feeling frustrated that previous attempts to stop vaping or stop smoking haven’t lasted and perhaps even afraid of failing to stop.

You may have tried to quit before, only to find yourself reaching for a cigarette or vape during moments of stress, boredom, habit or social situations.

The good news is, that change is possible!

Using a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy  and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) helps to break the habit loop, works with triggers and associations that sit outside your everyday awareness and reframe your identity as a non-smoker.

Rather than just relying on willpower, I can help you develop the mindset, skills and confidence needed to become a non-smoker or non-vaper and stay that way.

Common Concerns and Challenges

Smoking and vaping are rarely just about nicotine.

Over time, they become linked to daily routines, emotions, environments and beliefs about yourself.

You may find yourself smoking or vaping:

  • To manage stress or anxiety

  • During breaks at work

  • While driving

  • After meals

  • When socialising

  • When feeling bored, frustrated or overwhelmed

Eventually, these patterns can become automatic, making it feel as though the behaviour happens before you’ve even thought about it.

This is why relying on willpower alone can be difficult.

How Can Hypnotherapy, CBT and NLP Help?

I am a Breathe Quit Techniques practitioner and this approach combines several evidence-based methods to support lasting behavioural change:

1. Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention that allows you to practise new ways of thinking and responding.

It can help you:

  • Reduce urges and cravings

  • Strengthen motivation

  • Rehearse success mentally

  • Increase confidence in your ability to quit

  • Develop healthier automatic responses

2. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps identify and change the thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that maintain smoking or vaping.

Together, we explore:

  • Your triggers

  • High-risk situations

  • Unhelpful thinking patterns

  • Strategies for managing cravings

  • Practical relapse-prevention techniques

3. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

NLP is a set of techniques that I draw on in combination with the other approaches that can help you:

  • Break old mental associations

  • Develop a stronger non-smoker identity

  • Create new ways of responding to triggers

  • Increase confidence and self-belief

By combining these approaches, we address both the conscious and automatic aspects of behaviour change.

Can this approach help me stop vaping?

Over time, vaping can become associated with certain situations, emotions and routines: having a coffee, driving, taking a break, feeling stressed or simply having something to do with your hands. Alongside nicotine dependence, these learned patterns can make stopping feel more difficult than you expected.

Hypnotherapy can be used alongside psychological and behavioural techniques to help you change these established patterns and respond differently to the situations that previously triggered the urge to vape.

My approach focuses not simply on stopping the behaviour, but on helping you understand what has been maintaining it and developing practical strategies for managing urges, habits and triggers.

You don't need to spend your life trying not to vape. The aim is to help vaping become something you simply no longer want or need to do.

Not Everyone Is Suitable For My Approach...

Over the years, it's found that the people who achieve the best results usually have one thing in common: they genuinely want to become a non-smoker.

This approach may be particularly helpful if:

✓ You genuinely want to stop smoking or vaping

✓ You are ready to make a change, even if you feel anxious about whether you can succeed

✓ Previous attempts to quit have not lasted

✓ You are tired of relying on willpower alone

✓ You want practical strategies, support and accountability

✓ You are willing to practise the techniques and strategies discussed during sessions

PLEASE NOTE:

  • You do not need to feel 100% confident.

  • You do not need exceptional willpower.

  • You do not even need to believe that change will be easy.

However, you do need to be willing to engage fully in the process.

The strongest predictor of success is not willpower. It is your commitment to becoming a non-smoker.

My role is to help make that process easier, more structured and more achievable.

Please do not book if someone else is pressuring you to stop.

This programme works best when the decision to become smoke-free is yours.
